The estimated prevalence of SLE in the US is 72.8 per 100,000 person-years2 and in Egypt is 6.1/100,000 population.3 SLE has a strong genetic component4,5 SLE affects a diverse patient population, encompassing a wide range of ethnicities, with higher prevalence rates in women GC, glucocorticoid; HRQoL, health-related quality of life; IFN-1, type 1 interferon; LE, lupus erythematosus; SLE, systemic lupus erythematosus; LLDAS: Lupus Low Disease Activity State; HDAS: High disease activity status.
